Financial Policy

We believe that dental treatment is an investment in your overall health. Our staff members are happy to assist you in submitting information to your insurance company or to work with you to find financial arrangements if necessary. At Cowichan Valley Dental Centre, we realize that everyone has unique needs for which we do our best to accommodate those needs. All financial arrangements and discussions are kept confidential.

It is the patient’s responsibility to understand the limitations and provisions of their insurance plan. Reading over your insurance plan booklet and contacting your insurance company directly are the best ways to familiarize yourself with your plan. Our friendly staff are happy to help where they can in explaining any insurance questions.

Payment for services completed are collected at the end of the appointment, unless there is a prearranged payment plan.

We accept First Nations Status Cards (NIHB, or non-insured health benefits), and we will not balance bill you or your family as a service.

We accept: Cash, Visa, Master Card, and Interac.

 

Cancellation Policy

We understand that everyone’s time is valuable. Our team will work to accommodate your scheduling requirements to the best of their ability. Every effort is made to stay on time for your appointment although some unforeseen emergencies occasionally occur in a wait time.

We are happy to reschedule an appointment with a minimum of two business days’ notice. This allows us enough time to schedule another patient that may need to have treatment completed. Failure to provide 48hours notice or failure to show for a scheduled appointment will result in a $50.00 fee to your account. Please note that cancellations are not accepted over voicemail and a call during business hours is required.
